Ep. 648 – Plok!

Plok! At long last we took The Randomizer hostage so we could force this game into our library. You know, since The Randomizer really tried to give us multiple sports games in a row. So we talk about Ian’s curious dental condition, many things Star Wars and Marvel, the amazing 2019 show Chernobyl, Bioshock 2 DLC Minerva’s Den, Dave’s latest anime venture, and of course – so much Plok. There was quite a bit to go into about this lesser know game (I’m blaming you, Rayman). So please sit awhile and listen to the retro video game opinions of three old cis white men. I’m sure that is very hard to find in podcast form.

Ep. 647 – The EA NHL Hockey Series

The EA NHL Hockey Series – who wants ALL OF THE HOCKEY?! The Randomizer dealt us NHLPA 93 but, The Breakfast Club style – we wanted the bull so we got the horns. We decided to go ahead and knock out NHLPA 93, NHL 94 (again), NHL 95, NHL 96, NHL 97, and NHL 98. So this episode is a real Girth Brooks and really not like any other sports game episode we have ever done. So we may have told you that we understand if you just download sports episode and not listen out of love, but (much like Roger Clemens Baseball) we think this one is really worth the listen.

Ep. 644 – DinoCity

DinoCity – do you say it like Dino-City or all together like Dinocity? Well, we have to tackle that first. So we restructure things a little bit so that our flow may be a little different for this episode. We have to start off with weird stories from our local mall, how we were afraid of ethnic foods as children, how Ian will track down some 40 year old fans for the TADPOG Hollanddeck – then a new structured dive into DinoCity. Some come sit awhile and listen.

Ep. 642 – Ultraman: Towards the Future

Ultraman: Towards the Future. Towards? Would it be towards or toward? This game slides TOWORDS the garbage can. We discuss the tornado that ended the last episode so abruptly (not that Tetris 2 was a banger anyway), we talk about odd pediatricians, the male Sex and the City reboot, Peloton spoilers, Ultraman as a series and Ultraman as a terrible game! We take the make-up quiz and want your feedback on something.

Ultraman: Towards the Future Shownotes:

Dave streamed Ultraman for the SNES on Twitch, and then a few other Ultraman games that came out on the Famicom and Super Famicom.
We didn’t get stuck in that tornado we didn’t take seriously enough.
Dr. Trailer was fancy because of his Norman Rockwell prints.
We do like the Calvert City Drive-In movie theatre.
Peloton stock took a dip.
Tyler bought this game with birthday money from Toys R’ Us with that little paper slip.
Thankfully, he also bought Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
Do you like Alf references? There are plenty in this episode.
This game was a worse version of Power Rangers where you fight in the Mega Zord.

Ep. 641 – Tetris 2

Tetris 2. Did you know there was a Tetris 2? If you’re like use and didn’t there may be a pretty good reason for that. Also, this episode goes from damp to danger zone over the course of an hour and a half. We recorded this episode on the night of the tornado that destroyed part of our area. We didn’t take it too seriously until we had to take it seriously so this episode goes from chuckles, to Tetris 2 to..well…running out of the Hollanddeck as quickly as possible. So please tune in for a bit of a crazy episode.
